Best Assessment Processes Symposium

ABET Call for Proposals:
"The use of direct measures of student learning is increasingly important as programs are seeking to produce valid evidence of student learning. Proposals are being sought which can produce examples of the use of the direct measures of student learning as a basis of making a determination of how well programs are achieving the desired learning outcomes.
Each year we are learning more about the usefulness of various assessment tools in the assessment of student learning. Again this year there will be a focus on assessment tools that have been successfully used in program assessment (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, portfolio models). In particular, proposals being made to those who can demonstrate how they have refined their assessment tools and how they have applied their results to improve their programs. Presenters should be repared to share their tools and the lessons they have learned in implementation with those in attendance."
